Kopal Naithani is an award-winning ad-filmmaker and one of the rare female founders of a production house, Superfly Films, which she founded in 2016.
In a career spanning over two decades, today, she is recognised for her forte in story-telling, and for extracting nuanced performances. Much of her acclaimed work focuses on stories that bring out progressive womanhood and emotional depth to the characters. Working behind the camera, she tells women’s stories with an empowered lens.
Kopal was a part of the shortlist jury in the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2024 for the esteemed Film Lion. She was also selected as one of 19 women for the Cannes See It Be It 2024 cohort, a career accelerator programme for women and non- binary talents. Additionally, she has served as a jury member for the Kyoorius Creative
Awards, Kyoorius Zee Equality Awards and the Abby One Show Awards multiple times. Her films have won across various platforms like the much coveted IndIAA Awards, Kyoorius Creative Awards, the Abby One Show Awards, South Asian Ladli Media and Advertising Awards for Gender Sensitivity amongst others.
