KingsonElendu is the Head of ESG/Sustainability &Traceability at Medplus Pharmacy, with over sixteen years ofcross-sector experience integrating ESG principles into business strategy,managing environmental and social risks, and developing policies that alignwith global standards. He holds an MBA in Sustainability Management fromSustainability Management School (SUMAS) Gland, Switzerland.
Kingson’s notable achievements include: establishing and leadingEnvironmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS) for Medplus Pharmacy;leading the company to win the ‘Most Sustainable Retail Organisation’ at the2023 Africa Retail Awards; managing ESG risks in the 13 Dangote Cement plantsand Transport division in Africa; upgrading Dangote’s CDP Climate Change ratingsfrom ‘C’ to ‘B’; pioneering the development of the first industry specialisedsustainable waste management programme at the Lagos Business School (LBS).
He was part of the team behind the 2014 Sustainable Product Innovationproject at Procter & Gamble (P&G) EMEA Headquarters, Switzerland, where hecontributed to initiatives focused on reducingthe carbon footprint of haircare products. His international exposure alsoincludes work as a sustainability researcher at the Centre for SustainableDevelopment, Bangalore, India, where he contributed to the project Strategiesfor Achieving Sustainable Development Goals in Indian Cities.
